At the luncheon, the students shared some words of thanks:
"Thank you so much for your generosity in awarding me the Tyler Union Workforce Development Scholarship. This award will help me in more ways than you know. I am the oldest of six children so money has always been tight, and this will help me further my education and grow as a machinist in order to have a better career. With this scholarship, I will be able to expand my knowledge through college courses and make a better life. Thank you for giving me this wonderful opportunity to train for an exciting career," Ethan Cash, Precision Machining Technology
“Thank you so much for awarding me the Workforce Development Technology Scholarship. During the first year of the program, I will be focusing on school and shadowing certified electricians to get an idea of what the job entails. This scholarship will allow me to do that,” Peyton Harris, Electrical Technology
“Thank you for your generosity for giving me the opportunity to attend Gadsden State Community College. The Tyler Union Workforce Development Scholarship will help me pursue a career in precision machining. It is a great honor to receive this award," David Pruitt, Precision Machining Technology
“Thank you very much for this generous gift. The expense of tuition and fees can be overwhelming, but the assistance of $2,000 for the 2024-2025 academic year will put me on the path for success,” Landon Wise, Welding
