Dry Chemical Fire Suppression

Commercial dry chemical fire suppression systems have been protecting commercial over-the-road and off-road vehicle and military vehicles since 1991. These systems consist of pressurized agent tanks discharging dry chemical through a network of nozzles targeting the protected area. Dry chemicals have been proven to be some of the most effective firefighting agents available today.

Amerex Defense uses Field Proven Purple K Dry Chemical, a specially fluidized and siliconized potassium bicarbonate which is particularly effective on Class B flammable liquids and pressurized gases. It is electrically non-conductive and has been the choice of oil, gas, chemical and utilities industries as the preferred firefighting agent. Recently, a series of smaller dry chemical extinguishers have been added to the product family, exclusively for Amerex Defense market applications. These smaller extinguishers reduce system weight while providing the same firefighting performance as the larger systems in the specific target area.
